Getting There

The fortress is about a 15-20 minute uphill walk from Hvar Town's main square. Head northeast from St. Stephen's Cathedral, following the signs through the narrow streets. The path is well-marked but quite steep - you'll gain about 100 meters in elevation. Wear decent shoes as some sections can be slippery, especially if it's been raining. There's no vehicle access, so walking is your only option, but that's part of the experience. The climb itself offers nice glimpses of the town below as you ascend.
